GNOME User Guide completely translated to Brazilian Portuguese

GNOME logoThat’s right, we finished translating the User Guide to Portuguese as spoken in Brazil!

This is the most important help document in GNOME, but was untranslated until 2006. That year the Brazilian GNOME translation team started a combined effort, coordinated by Raphael Higino, resulting in the translation of two thirds of the Guide. This year I took the front, and after some months I finally sent the translation of the last untranslated chapter. Now we depend on the package maintainers to release version 2.18.3 this week…

Brazilian users own a beer, orange juice or something like that to this wonderful team:

Naturally, it isn’t enough to just call these translator for a draft beer… It’s important to include also the GNOME 2.18 interface Brazilian translators!

Update: GNOME 2.18.3 was released, and soon our translations will be available on your prefered distribution!
