GnuCash 2.2 released

GnuCash logoToday there was another release of GnuCash, a free software for finance management for Small Office and Home Office. Like the previous one, this version has few new resources, maybe because it’s quite complete. While version 2.0 was marked by the update to GTK+ 2, GnuCash 2.2’s differential is the port for Windows.

GNOME User Guide completely translated to Brazilian Portuguese

GNOME logoThat’s right, we finished translating the User Guide to Portuguese as spoken in Brazil!

This is the most important help document in GNOME, but was untranslated until 2006. That year the Brazilian GNOME translation team started a combined effort, coordinated by Raphael Higino, resulting in the translation of two thirds of the Guide. This year I took the front, and after some months I finally sent the translation of the last untranslated chapter. Now we depend on the package maintainers to release version 2.18.3 this week…
